This contest series is designed to showcase and celebrate what it means to be a writer. We each have an important job to do, a message to convey, a change to make in this world. We are 𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐃.
For JUNE 2020, we're celebrating ...
*** WRITING SPACES ***
We all need a little corner of the universe, a physical space to say, “𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 is where I will tell my story.”
Have you created such a space? It can be large or small. Permanent or makeshift. Stationary or mobile. An entire home office or a folding table on your patio. A shared space or a just-for-you space. Fancy or simple. 𝘕𝘰𝘸 is your time to shine!

All this month, you can post your entry, but take your time and #CraftYourStory. Deadline to enter is June 30, 2020 @11:59 EST.
𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘
This contest is open to ALL WRITERS, anywhere in the world, who are 𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐃-ly working on a book project in English (fiction, memoir, or nonfiction), who intend to publish and inspire readers for generations to come.
𝐇𝐎𝗪 𝐓𝐎 𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑
1) Create 1 feed post that includes three images:
a) 𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐘 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐓 of your BOLD writing space itself. Get creative with the lighting and the angle, but make sure we can see the whole space within the frame.
b) 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐓 of you in the space, 𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐃-ly working on your book-in-progress. Make sure that you and the book-in-progress are both visible.
c) 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄-𝐔𝐏 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐓 of your 𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐃-est piece of writing flair, like your lucky pen, your worn copy of your favorite book, a cool gadget that helps you write, or a piece of artwork.
2) Write a caption that tells a 𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐃 story about this space. Here are some prompts to help you #CraftYourStory --
a) What does this space say about you as a 𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐃 writer?
b) What inspired you to set it up like this?
c) What is the book project that you are working on in this space?
d) What is 𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐃 about your book project?
e) How long have you been working on the project and what inspires you to see it through?
f) How committed are you to the life of a 𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐃 writer?

a) Aesthetics -- how the space catches the eye and makes us want to go there and write. Show us something 𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐃er than a stack of books, coffee mug, and laptop.
b) Functionality -- how the space is physically conducive to the act of writing.
c) Personality -- how the space reflects your unique interests and habits
2) Literary criteria:
a) Get us riveted by your caption story.
b) Get us fired up about your book project, what it means to you, and what it will mean to readers.
